what cleaning a room taught me about life
So I was cleaning our guest bedroom and I usually lock the door because my 3 year old son usually gets in the way and what normally takes me 15 minutes takes an hour! But this time I forgot to lock the door! So as I was making up the bed I was throwing the pillows on the floor, Roman saw me doing this and decided he wanted to go get his pillows and throw them on the floor too! I became irritated quickly! I yelled at him and told him to pick them up and take them back! He looked at me confused and said sorry! Immediately, I felt bad but also immediately learned a lesson. Roman wanted to help but he didn’t understand my method, he thought he did. I was only throwing pillows off the bed just to make up the bed. While his heart was in the right place his method wasn’t. He was actually making the room less clean. I believe this is what we do with our own life we think we are helping God clean but we are really in his way! We don’t understand His methods! So He has to lock us out of our room, our life and hide us, until he’s done! Being locked out feels lonely and you don’t feel valued in the moment. But that’s not the end of the story He will let you back into a clean room, a clean life, where the remnants of your mistakes no longer exist!
