3 things to remember when you feel less than yourself
1. You are not who you have convinced yourself to be!
Listen up! Every day we have the opportunity to tell ourselves the truth or lie! I will admit, I lie to myself a lot! I tell myself (spoken or unspoken) that the world doesn’t need me or that I don’t add value. However, what gets me going is reminding myself of the fact that I’m here and because I’m here I count in the number of humanity.God doesn’t make junk and God doesn’t design things poorly. You’re here so you count and there are people counting on you!
2. Your identity is neither your credibility nor your disability.
My stutter has made me work so hard to build credibility. I felt like I had to offset my disability, my stutter, with my credibility. The truth is that my worth isn’t defined by my credibility nor my disability! Oswald Chambers says “you only reach your real identity when you are merged with another person”. When you learn the personality of God then you will learn your identity because we come from Him!
3. Don’t downplay your dreams, people need what you have.
Don’t downplay your dreams! People need you today and tomorrow! There would not be a Target, one of my favorite places, without George Dayton’s dream. There would not be Adidas without Adolf Dazzler’s dream. There certainly would not be Enderly Coffee Co (www.enderlycoffee.com) without Tony Santoro, thanks bro!
Keep doing your thing! Proud of the person you’re becoming!
